About

Patrizia Toscano graduated with honours, earning her degree in Architecture in 2007 from the G. D'Annunzio University in Pescara, Italy. After graduating she worked with various Italian architectural offices, where she was exposed to residential, museum, sport and scholastic projects, in addition to participating in numerous national and international competitions. Between 2007 and 2011 she accompanied her professional work with a growing interest in the study of the urban phenomena occurring in the public spaces of the contemporary metropolis. In April 2014 she obtained her Doctoral degree in Architecture and Urbanism from the G. D'Annunzio University in Pescara with the dissertation: Ordinary Public Spaces. New role for the project/New role for the architect, under the direction of proff. Francesco Garofalo and Carmen Andriani. During the PhD program she was a visiting student at the Laboratoire Architecture Anthropologie, ENSA Paris La Villette and at Accademia di Architettura, Università della Svizzera Italiana di Mendrisio. She is currently involved in didactic collaboration with Politecnico of Milan, Scuola di Architettura e Società and with i2a, istituto internazionale di architettura di Lugano.
